Together, they bring more than five decades of combined experience across trade, design, business, and education- creating a partnership built on integrity, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to quality.

A Craftsman with 30 Years of Expertise​

​

Mat began his career more than three decades ago, starting with a plastering apprenticeship that sparked a lifelong passion for refined surface finishes and high-end craftsmanship.

After mastering the plastering trade, Mathew spent over a decade working within his family’s electrical wholesale company, gaining invaluable insight into operations, product supply chains, and commercial-scale customer service. His experience expanded further during his time as a consultant for a national lighting firm, where he developed a keen understanding of architectural design and the relationship between surfaces, materials, and the impact of light.

Driven by a desire to deepen his knowledge of premium finishing systems, Mathew trained extensively as a Venetian plaster and Microcement applicator, completing certifications with all major suppliers throughout Australia. His technical skillset became so advanced that he went on to open his own product supply warehouse, giving him a deeper, hands-on understanding of product formulations, performance, and material behaviour. In this role, Mat also trained and mentored applicators, sharing his expertise and helping to raise the standard of craftsmanship within the industry.

Today, Mathew is recognised for his meticulous approach, strong technical foundation, and ability to transform any surface into a refined, custom-designed feature that elevates the feel of a space.

 

A Visionary Entrepreneur & Creative Leader

Skye brings 3 decades of business ownership and leadership experience, having launched her first company at just 21 years old. A natural innovator with a strong creative instinct, Skye has established a distinguished career in women’s health as a Master Trainer, International Instructor, and college lecturer- educating, inspiring, and empowering others across multiple industries.

Her strengths lie in vision, structure, and design. With an intuitive eye for detail and an ability to turn ideas into refined processes, Skye ensures NewCoast Projects operates with elegance, efficiency, and a customer-first approach.

As the COO, she oversees brand direction, client experience, and project coordination- ensuring every finish delivered by NewCoast is as seamless and luxurious as the surfaces the company is known for.

 

Together, Mathew and Skye combine craftsmanship, creativity, and business excellence to lead NewCoast Projects.
